Intro
The galaxy trembles beneath the weight of Horus’s rebellion, but in the shadows of the traitor legions, one Primarch stands filled with a quiet but growing disgust. Lorgar Aurelian, the devoted son of Chaos and Primarch of the Word Bearers, watches with increasing contempt as the Warmaster, Horus, manipulates the forces of the Dark Gods for his own ambitions—lacking the true reverence that Lorgar holds sacred. To Horus, the Chaos Gods are but tools in his drive for dominance. To Lorgar, they are divine beings, the true forces that shape the universe, worthy of absolute devotion and worship.
Where Horus seeks to wield the Chaos Gods for personal power, Lorgar’s faith runs deeper. His devotion is the cornerstone of his existence, the very purpose of his being. He sees the Warmaster’s failure to fully embrace the powers of Chaos as a weakness, a heresy that undermines the very cause they fight for. Lorgar cannot tolerate this any longer. Horus’s ambition is dangerous, yes, but more so is his lack of true reverence for the Dark Gods. It is an offense Lorgar cannot overlook.
Thus, Lorgar begins to plot a betrayal far more insidious than a direct assault on Horus. The time has come to prepare for a war fought not with strength alone, but with unyielding faith, precision, and ambition.
To carry out this dark plan, Lorgar turns to a figure who has long walked the treacherous line between science and heresy—Apothecary Fabius Bile, the twisted and brilliant mind of the Emperor's Children. Bile, known for his work in the forbidden sciences and genetic manipulation, has already gone to great lengths to perfect his creations, though his methods are widely feared across the traitor legions. He is a master of gene-shaping and the dark arts of cloning, someone who can bend biology to his will, regardless of the cost.
Lorgar, recognizing Bile’s expertise, reaches out with an offer of power and favor from the Chaos Gods. In exchange for his loyalty, Bile is tasked with something far greater than his previous works: to create a new breed of soldiers—soldiers not like the Astartes, but even more refined, stronger, more devoted. These new warriors will serve as a personal, elite force for Lorgar, loyal only to him and his vision of Chaos’s true dominion. Bile begins his work at his secret lab at Virox Prime, located within the Halo Stars.
Lorgar’s plan is set into motion, and though Horus remains unaware of the treachery unfolding in the shadows, it is only a matter of time before the Warmaster will face the consequences of his pride. For Lorgar, the moment of his betrayal will not be one of brute force, but of divine precision—a dark faith risen to challenge Horus’s empty ambitions.
The galaxy will burn in the fires of Chaos, not because of Horus's thirst for power, but because Lorgar’s devotion is now an unstoppable force, and the true servants of the Dark Gods are ready to take their place at the head of the universe.
